Removable Dentures
Removable dentures are one of the most practical and economical treatment options for patients with missing teeth. These dentures can be easily inserted and removed by patients, making them simple to clean and maintain compared to fixed dentures. Since they can be taken out at night for cleaning, they offer a significant advantage in terms of hygiene.
Tooth-Supported and Implant-Supported Removable Dentures
Removable dentures can be supported by natural teeth or implants in areas where teeth are missing. This allows patients to use their dentures more comfortably and securely. In addition to tooth-supported dentures, implant-supported removable dentures are frequently preferred in cases of complete tooth loss.
Implant-Supported Overdenture Dentures
One of the most common types of removable dentures is the overdenture. Even in cases of complete tooth loss, particularly in the lower jaw, at least two implants can be placed to improve denture retention. For added stability in the upper or lower jaw, overdentures can be supported by four implants.
Precision-Attached Dentures
Some removable dentures can be equipped with precision attachments that provide better retention by connecting to teeth or implants. This prevents the denture from shifting in the mouth and offers a more comfortable experience for the patient.
Removable dentures offer both aesthetic and functional solutions that meet patients’ expectations while also being more cost-effective. At our clinic, we focus on providing each patient with the most suitable removable denture option, aiming for a healthy and comfortable smile.
